What is Forecasting?
Weather forecasting is a prediction (a guess) what the weather will be like in an hour, today, tomorrow, or even in a week! Weather forecasting is done with computer models, observations from scientists, and knowing about weather patterns. Pretty cool!
Where can we find a weather forecast?
You can find weather forecasting on the news, a phone app, the newspaper or even on your computer.
What do weather symbols mean?
Weather symbols are like secret codes that tell us what the weather will be. Learning these symbols is the first step to forecasting! For example, a sun often means a sunny day, while a cloud with rain means, you guessed it, rain! Can you match the symbols to the right weather?
High temperature means hot!
When the temperature is high, it means it's going to be a hot day! Perfect for going to the beach or playing outside. Always remember to put on your hat and sunscreen when it's hot.
Low temperature means cold!
Brrrr! If the temperature is low, it means it's going to be a cold day. This is when you'll need to wear a warm jumper or jacket. Sometimes, when it's really cold, we might even see frost or SNOW!

Looking at the website, find out what todays weather is.
Click on "Victoria" and then "Wodonga".
Then looking at the weather icons tell me what the weather is today and tomorrow.
