Busting Weather Myths!

Have you heard some wild ideas about the weather? Here at Miss G's Classroom, we love to get to the bottom of things!

Myth 1:

Rain comes from holes in clouds

FACT:

As we discovered from our experiment, rain comes from clouds and when rain gets too heavy for the cloud to float in the air, rain falls!

Myth 2:

Lightening never strikes the same place twice

FACT:

Lightening tends to strike the highest points in an area, so some places can be struck more than once.

Myth 3:

Clouds are cotton or wool

FACT:

A cloud is made of lots of tiny drops of water or tiny pieces of ice.
